Hello, I'm Deyshna.

I'm a Product Designer who works best where clarity is hardest to find: messy clinical workflows, technical systems non-experts have to trust, ambiguous 0→1 problems with no direct playbook. I currently design population health and clinical decision-support tools at Dexcom, where the job is turning dense clinical data into something a provider can act on with confidence in seconds, not minutes.

I like being in the room early. Auditing what's broken, running the workshops, aligning research, product, and engineering before a single high-fidelity screen exists. That instinct comes from my time at UCSD's Diabetes Design Initiative and with Don Norman's Design for a Better World, where I first saw how much of good design is actually good listening.

My approach: understand the constraints (clinical, technical, human) before proposing the solution. I'd rather ship something scoped and real than something impressive and stuck in review.

Outside of work, I'm chronically curious. I'm teaching myself to code, painting when I need to think with my hands instead of my head, and experimenting with increasingly strange ice cream flavors (ask me about the weirder batches). I also spend a lot of time at the gym and reading whatever I can get my hands on. Most of it circles back to the same question that drives my design work: how do complex systems, whether a body, a language, or a clinical workflow, actually work, and how can they work better.
